Sarah Slaiman Chebli has served as the Program Manager of Leadership New Jersey since August 2007. Sarah graduated from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University with a Master's degree in Public Administration. While there, she served as the Area Director of the Office of Housing and Residence Life, leading a team of people offering the best service possible to both prospective and current University students. Sarah designed and implemented the only freshman-focused program at RU-Newark, which served over 350 students. She also ran a variety of events for 30-500 students. Her experience in program development, management and event planning has helped her better understand the commitment required to make an event successful.
As an undergraduate at Rutgers Newark, Sarah completed a double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and graduated with honors with a Certificate from the prestigious Eagleton Institute of Politics. She interned in the Governor's Communication's Office, and at the New Jersey Supreme Court, Essex County Vicinage. In October 2008, Sarah was appointed by Governor Jon S. Corzine to the New Jersey Arab American Heritage Commission. Sarah served one term as Commissioner and was chair of the Fundraising committee.
